What they’re asking for
The official attachment asks for mature or near-mature Department of War c-UAS technologies that can support mounted or dismounted offensive maneuver — “broad applicability NOT restricted to c-UAS mission sets, but with c-UAS cross functionality.” Every submission must cover cost and lifecycle (including NDAA 889 status, requested but not a firm exercise gate), modular survivability and signature, interoperability and data (MOSA, SOSA, CMOSS, ISA, and SAPIENT are named), theater entry including a complete DD Form 1494 for any spectrum-dependent gear, and SWaP-C. Address one or more capability lanes: C2; RF detect; passive radar; active radar; acoustic; EO/IR; RF defeat; kinetic (must work with currently fielded Army weapons without modification); directed energy; deception; c-UAS launched effects; targetry; plus an optional expansion to non-terrestrial sensing, communications, or effects. Kits are assessed for suitability, effectiveness, interoperability, and operational relevance. No numeric TRL is stated.
How to respond
A one-page quad chart plus a white paper of at most 10 pages, unclassified, through the FLYTRAP applications portal (universityoflouisville.my.site.com/FlytrapApplications) by 11:59 p.m. ET on 16 Oct 2026. Spectrum-dependent systems: complete DD Form 1494 by 13 Nov 2026. Down-select notifications: 29 Jan 2027. A March 2027 supplemental technical evaluation at Fort Knox applies only to promising systems that have not been sufficiently validated. Applying does not guarantee a slot, funding, or follow-on work.
